Rating up to 18.1 SEER2, this variable speed air conditioner offers increased cooling efficiency when compared to the previous XV17 model (which rates up to 17.1 SEER2). With a variable speed compressor, this AC unit can run anywhere from 30-100% capacity, so it only uses the energy it needs.

New Quiet Mode
While this unit is already quiet, enabling the new Quiet Mode feature lets you limit the compressor speed to a minimum speed to comply with most local sound ordinances.
