Multi-Speed technology for enhanced comfort
The inverter-driven 17 Multi-Speed Heat Pump is a bridge between a traditional two-stage heat pump and a premium variable-speed heat pump, delivering higher efficiency and more heating and cooling capacity at extreme temperatures when compared with a two-stage unit. This unit also features enhanced humidity control.

Higher efficiency at a lower cost
With a SEER2 cooling rating of up to 17.1, EER2 of up to 12.5 for performance in extreme heat, and an HSPF2 heating rating of up to 11, this heat pump is an energy-efficient bridge between a two-stage system and a variable-speed system. In addition, 24V system compatibility means you don’t have to replace your existing furnace or two-stage thermostat.

Efficient heat pump for cold climates
This heat pump is tested to provide a 70% heating capacity ratio at 5° F and deliver 100% heating capacity down to 27° F. If your winters are long and extremely cold, you may want to pair it with a gas furnace for a dual-fuel heating system.
